한반도 폭염현상과 기업 경영: 기후위기 시대 ESG 경영과 산업안전의 새로운 패러다임

본 연구는 한반도 폭염현상과 기업 경영의 연관성을 다각도로 분석하여 기후위기 시대 기업의 전략적 대응 방안을 제시한다. 2025년 기후 데이터 분석을 통해 폭염의 심각성을 입증하고, 폭염이 기업 운영에 미치는 직접적 영향(노동자 건강, 생산성 저하, 에너지 비용 증가, 공급망 리스크)을 규명했다. 산업안전보건법 개정을 통한 법적 의무 강화 현황을 분석하고, 삼성전자, 포스코, HD현대 등 주요 대기업의 폭염 대응 사례를 검토하여 ESG 경영과의 연계성을 도출했다. 폭염으로 인한 공급망 리스크와 산업 구조적 변화를 분석하고, AI·IoT 기반 폭염 관리 솔루션, 친환경 냉방 기술, 기후 적응형 농업 등 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 제시했다. 본 연구는 기업이 폭염 리스크를 단순한 비용으로 인식하지 않고 지속가능한 경영 전략의 핵심 요소로 통합하여 장기적 기업 가치를 창출할 수 있음을 결론지었다.

This study analyzes the relationship between heat wave phenomena on the Korean Peninsula and corporate management from multiple perspectives, presenting strategic response measures for enterprises in the climate crisis era. Through analysis of 2025 climate data, the severity of heat waves is demonstrated, and the direct impacts of heat waves on corporate operations (worker health, productivity decline, increased energy costs, supply chain risks) are identified. The study examines the strengthening of legal obligations through amendments to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and reviews heat wave response cases of major corporations such as Samsung Electronics, POSCO, and HD Hyundai to derive linkages with ESG management. Supply chain risks caused by heat waves and structural changes in industries are analyzed, and new business opportunities such as AI/IoT-based heat wave management solutions, eco-friendly cooling technologies, and climate-adaptive agriculture are presented. The study concludes that enterprises can create long-term corporate value by integrating heat wave risk management not merely as a cost but as a core element of sustainable management strategy.
